Tips or treat: 6 marketing ideas for Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner and if you are preparing for it, so are your customers, so don’t ignore this great opportunity to bond with them and beautify your shop to reflect the spirit of Halloween. Don’t ignore this chance thinking that e-sales and Halloween have little in common because every occasion is a great opportunity to spice up your webshop and make sales. 
Plus, this time of the year already anticipates the spirit of gift shopping that are soon approaching: Black Friday,Christmas and New Year’s Eve, so it is time to get in the mood and make adjustments to your marketing strategy. Here is a list of ideas we came up with so that your store will reflect the Halloween spirit and so will your sales:

  • You can update your product pictures by adding a small bat in the upper corner of each picture or maybe even a carved pumpkin, a skeleton, a ghost or a black cat, find what works best for you and what reflects the feel of your store and you will definitely attract buyers. Remember, details are everything.
  • Create a special Halloween product that is not just thematic but also fun to do and useful. Try to integrate the Halloween spirit not just into the look of your store but also into your product list. You could offer this special product as a standalone product or you could send it as a gift every time someone orders something from you- for the duration of the campaign.

  • Be creative and use special Halloween packaging when shipping your products. You don’t have to go overboard, print some stickers with a pumpkin or a spider’s web and a black cat, or you could draw these by hand if you have the time and mood to add a bit of personal touch to the package as well. This little details will make your customers smile and they will remember you, talk about you and more and more people will start to buy.
