Payment methods

Under the Settings menu’s Payment Methods tab, you can specify the various payment methods that you will accept. First of all you have to choose the currency which you want to use in your store. Based on the currency you chose, you will get the list of available payment methods. At the moment there are these methods:

  • Cash Payments
  • Bank Transfer
  • PayPal
  • Credit Card

Cash Payments

Allow your customer to pay you with cash. You can choose from two different cash payment methods:

  • Cash on delivery – your customers will pay you upon delivery
  • Bank transfer – your customers will pay you via bank transfer. You will send them your bank account details after the order was made

Switch the Yes-No option to Yes to activate the chosen cash payment method.

 

Bank Transfer

Allow your customers to pay you via bank transfer. They will receive your bank account details after the order was made.

 

PayPal

Connect your PayPal account with your Soldigo store. Switch the Yes-No option to Yes and add your PayPal account’s primary email address. Soldigo uses Payments Standard service so your customers will be redirected to PayPal’s site in order to complete their purchase. You need a valid PayPal Premier or Business account to receive payment. PayPal fees apply.

 

Credit card

In order to connect your payment gateway with your Soldigo store you need to switch the Credit Card option to Yes and choose your payment gateway. Based on the currency you set, you can choose from a set of pre-integrated payment options. Selected payment gateway fees may apply. More payment gateways will be added in the near future. Please send us the payment gateway you would want us to introduce.

Account Settings

Profile

Under the Settings menu Profile tab you can add your company details and you can modify you Soldigo dashboard password. Be sure to click Save when you finished making changes.

Cancel account

We’re saddened to hear that you would like to delete your Soldigo account, but it is your decision. By canceling your account you will lose all the uploaded data (products, categories, orders). In order to cancel your account add your password and be so kind and tell us why you are leaving us.

Custom Domain

Before starting to present how to set your custom domain, let’s take a moment and talk about what a domain name is.

What is a domain?

A domain name, like http://www.example.com, is a lot like a street address for a house or business. It’s the address or the URL used to identify a web page.

What is a subdomain?

Subdomains, like http://shop.example.com, are the prefixes in the address or URL before the root domain.

Your store’s Soldigo domain name

Every Soldigo store gets a http://yourstorename.soldigo.com/ domain name. If you already own a domain name or you are planning to purchase one, you can connect it with your Soldigo store. This way your store’s domain name will be yourdomainname.com instead of yourstorename.soldigo.com.

Why purchase a domain name?

We strongly recommend the purchase of a custom domain name for your online store, for the following reasons:

  • Increase brand awareness – they say first impressions are lasting impressions.
  • Professional Email – boost your credibility by setting up a custom email address to match your domain
  • Search Engine Optimized – search engines look at your domain to learn what your site is about

Connecting your own domain name with your store

The first thing to do in order to connect your own domain name with your store is to point the A-record (IP address) of your domain name to our IP address: 52.138.202.225. If you need help doing the configuration, ask your registrar for the instructions. Tell them that you need assistance pointing your domain to Soldigo’s IP address.

Secondly, you will need to tell Soldigo what your domain name is. You can do this by accessing the General tab on the Settings on your Soldigo dashboard. Here, on the bottom right, add your domain name and click Save.

General Settings

On the Setting menu’s General tab you can find and modify all your store’s details like your store’s name, address, language, currency, location and the email address.

Store Name which will be used in emails sent to your customers and will appear on the browser tab when customers are viewing your site.

Store address which is part of your store’s domain name in case that you don’t have an own domain and is connected to your store. For ex: soldigo.com/mystore.
The main Language of your store.

Location is the country where you store is located.

The main Currency of  you store.The Email address with which you are registered and which will be used when corresponding with your customers.

Additional features

Based on the plan you are using you can modify a few additional settings as well. By setting the Live Converter to Yes you will give your clients the possibility to see prices in the currency they are familiar with. Let your customers browse your store in their language by selecting from more than 14 languages. This will translate everything except for your uploaded data. Payment methods
Specify the various payment methods that you will accept. For more information click here.

Social profiles
You can connect your Soldigo store with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram and Pinterest. Be sure to click Save when you finished making changes.

Legal
Add your terms and conditions, privacy policy and refund policy to have your store function legally.

Close store
Are you going in a Holiday or taking a break from the online world? Under this tab you can close your store. You can add a message that will appear in your store while it’s closed.
